The vendors in the automotive industry assume an integral role towards realising the vision of the New National Car Project (NNCP) mooted by YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The main objective of the NNCP is to increase the localisation of vendors and enhance their engineering capacity and technical capabilities to support NNCP in a holistic manner.
Due to the rapid change of the automotive technology landscape, Malaysian vendors need to be equipped with enhanced technical engineering capabilities and effective management of sourcing raw materials. One of the means to achieve this is to create an effective vendor ecosystem to allow efficient supply of services, parts and components across the industry.
This will be the first strategic initiative for Malaysia towards the production of energy efficient cars with the potential of penetrating the regional and global markets.
In this relation, the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) would like to invite local vendors to register their interest to supply parts and components to the development of NNCP by clicking on registration menu above.
